Hope & Courage International (HCI)
Hope & Courage International (HCI) is a survivor-led, Kenya-based Non-Governmental organization dedicated to supporting Children, Adolescents and Young Adults (AYA) affected by childhood cancers. We exist to ensure that no young person walks the cancer journey — or life after cancer — alone.
Founded from lived experience, HCI bridges the gap between diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and healing by providing psychosocial support, mentorship, advocacy, and safe spaces for growth, dignity, and hope.
Our Focus: AYA & Childhood Cancer Survivorship
Medical treatment is only the beginning. Many childhood cancer survivors and AYAs face long-term challenges such as emotional trauma, isolation, late effects of treatment, disrupted education, identity struggles, and limited access to age-appropriate support.
At Hope & Courage International, we focus on:
- Adolescents (13–18 years)
- Young Adults (18–25 years)
- Childhood cancer survivors transitioning into adolescence and adulthood
Our work centers on survivorship care, mental wellness, peer connection, and empowering young people to rebuild their lives with confidence and purpose.
